WHO ARE WE

Boero YachtCoatings, the Yachting Division of Gruppo Boero has been well established in both the Italian and international markets for decades. Boero YachtCoatings is the professional brand of high-quality yacht paints for the painting and maintenance of yachts and superyachts, with an established and trusted range of products: such as anti-fouling paints, epoxy primers, fillers, varnishes and topcoats.

The development of market leading coatings, are the result of constant investment in R&D, using the latest raw materials, formulations and production processes, all of which guarantee high quality products.

HISTORY

Established over 50 years ago, Boero YachtCoatings, brand of the Yachting Division of Gruppo Boero, has supplied customers with a range of specialist, quality yacht products in both the Italian and international markets. With the historic and trusted brand of the swan, the Boero YachtCoatings follows a personal and specialised approach to customer and market, taking all under the wing, offering both protection and beauty.

INNOVATION

Boero has a dedicated Yacht R&D team of engineers, chemists and technicians, focused on innovation, product development, raw material, product and regulatory compliance, investigation of new and future technologies, ensuring that Boero is a leader in yacht coatings.
Working in the Boero Laboratory in Tortona, the highly qualified team use, both experience and specialist knowledge to develop, test and produce Boero yacht products and customer focused solutions, supported for application and external testing by the Technical Sales Support (TSS) team.
Boero R&D team, work hand in hand with many international institutions, raw material suppliers and technical partners as well as external test houses and consultancies.
Working closely with Genoa university, the team develop new methods of testing, have written leading technical “white” papers and specialist articles, while continue to support in the education and development of professionals with an active part in FROSIO training as well as collaboration with future chemists and engineers with their master’s thesis and PhDs with a focus on yacht coatings.

The Ocean Race – Genoa The Grand Finale

The Ocean Race is the world’s most spectacular round-the-world sailing race, which reached Italy for the first time in its history for the Grand Finale at Genoa in 2023. This city hosted the final leg after 32,000 miles and six global stopovers, and Boero YachtCoatings was an official sponsor engaging Italian and international clients, enhancing brand visibility and highlighting the brand’s commitment to marine sports and sustainability.

Foiling Week

Boero YachtCoatings, as a technical partner for Foiling Week in Malcesine, Lake Garda, provided a “Technical Area” for boat repairs for supporting the participants with necessary touch-ups between the various races. This event, focused on foiling boats and boards and dedicated to youth sailing, offered Boero an opportunity to engage with a global community of sailors, promoting excellence and sustainability in sailing.

Austrian Ocean Racing, powered by Team Genova, is an Italian-Austrian alliance which compete in The Ocean Race and others prestigious regattas worldwide during the year. Italy Pavilion - Expo 2020 Dubai

Gruppo Boero, as the Official Partner for the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, provided market-leading solutions to decorate both interiors and exteriors. Committed to showcasing ‘Made in Italy’ through colour, Boero YachtCoatings painted the Pavilion’s 13,000 square meter roof, formed by three main hulls, creating the world’s largest Italian tricolour. Using a high-performance yacht topcoat, highlighting Gruppo Boero’s nearly 200-year experience in colour and innovation.

Giovanni Soldini and Maserati Multi 70

Boero YachtCoatings has supported the multi-winner Italian sailor, Giovanni Soldini, and his Maserati Multi 70 trimaran for more than twenty-five years. This collaboration has been instrumental in protecting and optimizing the performance of one of the world’s most advanced racing vessels during its gruelling races, showcasing the superior quality and reliability of Boero’s paint products.
